Vogue & Mallow Maid
Our marshmallows make it into Vogue!
Welcome to June and a few updates on our homemade marshmallows.
It has been a very busy couple of months, we have been attending local farmers markets with our homemade produce with ‘sell out’ results, oh and we received an email from Vogue!
Just an ordinary day checking through emails and there it was an email titled Class Vogue & Mallow Maid. I must admit i felt my heart go all of a flutter with excitement. Vogue…. in my inbox? is it some kind of scam email? I immediately printed it off and ran upstairs to my hubby. Look look, read it quickly…what shall we do! ‘Well go for it’ he replied it might be good for the business and you might not get another chance.
Vogue had stumbled across our delicious treats on Twitter and thought they would look great as part of their ‘gifted ideas page’ for July. So i chose to feature our Classical Vanilla flavour. And i’m pleased to say it doesn’t end there, we are going to featured in the August, September issues of this iconic magazine with the August issue (on sale July) featuring our Sublime Lime & Pistachio flavour.
I have been thinking of adding new flavours to our range, the new addition will then become our third advertorial for the September issue. By that time we will be heading into Autumn and matching a flavour to the season may go down nicely. So watch this space…..
Selling our wares!
I really enjoy attending local markets, meeting people and introducing some home baked treats alongside our Marshmallows. I really feel at home when i bake, taking inspiration from programmes such as Bake Off and i have an array of baking bibles from Delia, Meg Rivers and more.
A favourite market is Penrith. Always great to share our fresly baked goods with the local community and the next market will be Tuesday 20th June
Along with our marshmallows I’ve added other delicious treats including Rocky Road and Brownies.
Here’s to another busy few months
